The lighting plan of the Hortus Botanicus shows the beauty of the Hortus and emphasizes the ambiance and romance in the building. The modest light design balances the light and dark spaces by using low level indirect light. In the palm tree greenhouse the designer worked with white and blue light to highlight the special structure of the greenhouse. The palm trees form beautiful silhouets against the light. Lighting upwards in the trees and plants creates a beautiful fairylike ambaince.
