Lichtvormgevers was appointed to realize a lighting system that needed to support the experience of every exhibition and meets the sustainability standards that the city of Antwerp advocates. The MAS houses showpieces from collections of other museums and is a real museum of experiences.
An intensive innovation process resulted in theatrically - with LED light - illuminated exhibition spaces, that exactly meet the expectations and demands of the architect, the MAS and the city of Antwerp. Every exhibition space has it's own experience and ambiance.
Lichtvormgevers designed the Twister spot, a taylor-made fixture, that encorporates the Philips Fortimo LED SLM 2000 module, at that time the latest innovation in LED technology. Combined with coloring filters, dimming filter, different lenses and snoods a theatrical and comfortable ambiance is created.
During the process of research, design and installment, Lichtvormgevers acted as director to control the quality and achieve the right experience.
