Lichtvormgevers has developed the lighting concept for the Stationsplein that is ready for new techniques and completely fits in the original identity. The wooden poles are an reminder of the shipping history of Schiedam and the perimeter of the square is made by fitting bollards. The lighting is controllable, energy friendly and low in maintanance.
All the materials used are in line with each other. This ensures a natural fit in the public space. Lichtvormgevers was also the Director during realization and installment. The designs are realised in cooperation with urban designer Bram van Hengel. The taylor-made solutions are constructed and installed under supervision of Lichtvormgevers, which resulted in a succesful project that exceeded the expectations.
